The Emmy & Gracie Award-Winning Series:

Northeast Ohio is home to many great chefs, and some have even become national celebrities!  But if you think all they care about is what goes on in the kitchen... Well, you better think again!  Chefs and restaurant owners go to great pains to create just the right mood and ambiance.  From artwork to architecture, staff uniforms to the lighting and music, the goal is create a dining experience as good as the food.  And often, there are some interesting stories behind all these critical decisions.  So, with that in mind, Producer and Host, Lauren Wilson created the series called "Beyond the Dish."

What do crab legs and W.C. Fields have in common? It sounds like a bad joke, but the two are the unlikely inspiration for one of Northeast Ohio's favorite seafood shacks: Pickle Bills, about 30 miles east of Cleveland. On this edition of Beyond the Dish, ideastream's Lauren Wilson chose to get a bit 'out of character.

Inside, the walls and ceilings vibrate with colorfully painted images while fresh and vibrant flavors are brought to your table. Oh, and owner, Chef Juan, invites you to bring your own beer.
